They cycled 30km, hiked to the summit of England’s second-highest mountain – Helvellyn 9km and canoed a 4km course on Lake Thirlmere before getting back on those bikes and racing back 34Km to beat the sunset!

Enjoy the video - warning it’s nail-biting stuff!

Remark! staff, along with a few members of the community, joined forces to make up a team of ten, to take on this exciting triathlon-style adventure. They travelled to the Lake District where they completed cycling, walking and canoeing sections of the challenge. Their aim; to start just before sunrise and to finish before sunset – racing the sun!

Did they manage it…of course they did!!

 About Remark! Community

Remark! Community host a real variety of different projects, each of which has played a major role in transforming the lives of Deaf children, youths, vulnerable adults and pensioners in and around London. Deaf people are at a much increased risk of isolation and depression due to a distinct lack of BSL users in their local community and a lack of social opportunities and so Remark! Community has been created to promote equality of access to services in British Sign Language, to include advocacy, accessible information; and to increase socialisation.
