Picnic in the Park!

Our Eltham Lunch club had their end of summer picnic in the park on Monday 22nd August. We had arranged for an extra special picnic to help raise funds for our lunch club. The members were all excited to rally together to help raise a little extra funding for the club.  

Rain was on the forecast, but with the sun shining in the morning, we decided to go ahead. Luckily, the rain held off and the weather was perfect for the picnic. Some of the staff had been busy with playscheme over the summer, so it was great to catch up with everyone and share stories of what we had all been up to. We also had a chance to offer our advocacy service which the members took full advantage of. 

After a good catch up, we moved on to our lunch and everyone got tucked into some great food. Once everyone was full, it was time for games. We played a couple of games that got everyone on their feet and moving around for some exercise. We also had a very special birthday (94!!), we all sang happy birthday and finished the afternoon off with some birthday cake.
