Lottery Funding - And it's Good News!

You may be aware that we’ve been waiting for news on our latest Lottery Funding. Anyone who’s been to the offices at Remark! recently may have seen the shell of the human we used to call Annie, wandering the halls muttering incoherently to herself. You might have been able to make out the odd word, perhaps ‘Lottery’, ‘lunch club’ or even the phrase ‘it’ll all be over soon’.

And now the wait is over…and it’s great news!

The Lottery have been funding our Lunch Clubs for the past 3 years and they have just awarded Remark! Community with the funds we need to run them for another 3!

The Lunch Clubs are the corner stone of the work we do at Remark! Community. They provide a space for Deaf people over the age of 55 to socialise with each other, we offer advocacy to support with daily issues and plan fantastic trips to cultural sites around the city and beyond.

Not only will this funding allow us to continue with the work that we’re already providing but it also means we can reopen a fourth Lunch Club site and bring in extra staff members to support the running of all our groups.

If you’re Deaf and over 55, please get in touch to join one of our Lunch Clubs email community@remark.uk.com
