Parent & Children Group

Our Parent & Children Group, funded by The National Lottery Awards for All, is a vibrant initiative supporting London's Deaf community, providing a nurturing and supportive environment for families with young children. This is one of two of our clubs that allow hearing members, welcoming both hearing parents of Deaf children and hearing children of Deaf adults (CODAs).

Through a variety of monthly activities, including group trips around London and BSL social sessions at Remark! Farringdon, the group fosters a sense of belonging and cultural identity. It also offers educational workshops and weekly one-on-one advocacy, ensuring individual attention and empowerment. This comprehensive support system aims to enhance the educational and social development of Deaf children, support Deaf parents to fulfill their caregiving potential, and allow their hearing family members to become involved in the community.
