All eyes were on our Badminton Players this weekend for our first thrilling badminton tournament of 2024; featuring experienced players, casual players and new players alike!

In the showdown, featuring 40 players from North, South, and Bexley clubs, the Cup and Plate Finals took centre stage with heart-stopping 21-20 finishes. Remark!'s own Jessica Nelson, and her son Roman clinched the Cup, defeating Jonny and Kate - clearly the badminton talent runs in the family! Meanwhile Mohamed and Charlotte secured the Plate, narrowly beating Rahat and Hajra.

Adding to the excitement, Ross and Laura emerged victorious in the Wooden Shuttlecock category with a 21-16 triumph over Nathan and Fahima. The North club, mostly newcomers, made a vibrant debut, turning up in numbers and spreading their infectious enthusiasm.

As the tournament dust settles, eyes are already on the Summer showdown. Will the reigning champs maintain their dominance, or will new faces seize the spotlight? Both Remark! Community Badminton clubs eagerly await the next thrilling tournament - stay tuned!
