Remark! Community at City Lit Deaf Day 2026
Remark! Community had so much fun at City Lit’s Deaf Day 2026. The day was spent chatting to so many prospective members and volunteers for our various clubs, and old faces too, and talking about the work we do to support Deaf people in London.
We met individuals learning sign looking to polish their skill and meet others who are also learning who hope to see at our weekly Sign Club, running every Monday 5-7pm in the Remark! Lounge.
Parents of Deaf children learning about our North London Playscheme and DeafSELF Playscheme in South London and the exciting activities on when school is closed and they’re stuck at home. Or Saturday Club that’s on through term time and also hosts a range of exciting and fun activities for children aged 6-14.
We talked about our lunch clubs for Deaf elderly over 55 years based in venues across London that take place weekly, and hope to see many more in attendance enjoying lunch, social and different tours, games and, as the weather warms up, walks.

Many were excited to hear about our various fundraising events to raise money for Remark! Community. Such as our £12 for 12 miles Deaf Fun Walk Day on Monday 25th of May, starting at Remark! Farringdon Lounge for all Deaf and hearing BSL users and learners.
Again, thank you all for making it such a great day, until next year!
