North Playscheme Easter Holidays
This Easter holiday North London Playscheme children and youth got up to loads of fun!
The children kicked off their holiday with some baking, this one was messy but super delicious. Waffles, cupcakes AND biscuits were on the menu. Tuesday saw a trip to London Zoo, everyone loved seeing the lions having a nap, feeding the goats and watching the alligators go for a swim. All were in awe of how tall they were! Wednesday the group headed to The Ritzy Picturehouse in Brixton to watch the Super Mario Galaxy movie and enjoy some popcorn.
The second week the Easter festivities began, with an Easter Egg hunt that got very competitive and then calming down with some more relaxing Easter painting. The peace didn’t last long however, as the week ended at Laser Quest and it was chaos! The Red team and Blue team battled it out for an intense 15 minutes, but in the end the blue team came out victorious.
The youth also got involved in the fun, starting their week at Laser Quest. They had so much fun battling it out in every man for himself first round, though there could only be one winner…
After watching the children making so many delicious treats the youth developed an appetite and tried their hand at waffle making. After a few failed attempts, with the mixture being too runny, the youth finally mastered the recipe! Though they went for some interesting colour choices they were delicious. They went on to wow staff with their amazing graffiti skills. All worked patiently to make their stencils before getting messy with the graffiti. Their unique designs were amazing.
Second week included some amazing trips, to Power Up at the Science Museum where they got to try out different videogames and consoles, old and new. Then to London Transport Museum, where they got to into an old train carriage (all reported the seats were much comfier) and even sit up front in the driver’s seat of a London Bus! They ended their exciting week with some Easter crafts to take home.
